Oxygen at 0.25% maximum and iron at 0.30% lift its strength above Grade 1, while Titanium Sheets and Plates stay formable and weldable. At 4.51 g/cm³, it is about 43% lighter than steel, and a stable passive oxide film provides excellent resistance in seawater, wet chlorine, and oxidising acids.
