Inconel shims set alignment and fill assembly gaps at joints where heat and corrosion would destroy an ordinary spacer. Millwrights use them under turbine casings, between exhaust flanges, and behind furnace fixture mounts, positions where carbon steel scales away and standard stainless softens. The nickel-chromium base of the Inconel family grows a stable oxide skin instead, so the shim keeps the thickness it was measured to. A packing piece that thins in service gives up the clearance it was set to preserve, and the assembly drifts out of true long before the next inspection catches it. Buyers also refer to the same product as nickel alloy shims, superalloy shims, or Inconel shim stock.
Fabrication happens in-house. We slit every order from source coil stored at our Mumbai and Taloja warehouses, working shim stock from 0.03 mm to 5 mm thick across all seven grades. Material ships soft annealed as standard, with deburred or round edge conditioning offered beside the regular slit edge. Each consignment carries mill documentation traceable to the source heat.
