Stainless Steel 304L strips are narrow, flat-rolled lengths of low-carbon austenitic stainless steel. Grade 304L limits carbon to 0.030% maximum, compared with 0.080% for Grade 304. That cap stops chromium carbides from forming along grain boundaries during welding, so joints hold their corrosion resistance without further heat treatment. Chromium runs 18.0-20.0%, and nickel around 8.0-12.0%. When you source from a trusted 304L stainless steel strip supplier, fabricators may readily draw, bend, and weld the stainless steel 304 winding strip food processing equipment, pharmaceutical equipment, and hose clamps.
We slit every 304L strip in-house from wider stainless coil stock, on the same lines that run our full stainless steel strips range. Material leaves our facility in soft annealed condition to ASTM A240, in any width from 3 mm to 2000 mm. Buyers choose from eight surface finishes, BA and others. The EN 10204 traceability is present in every source coil, from the initial inspection to the final dispatch.
