Duplex 2205 strips are narrow, flat-rolled strips slit from coil to feed stamping, forming, and fabrication lines. The structure splits roughly 50/50 between austenite and ferrite. A 22% chromium, 3% molybdenum, and nitrogen chemistry lifts the PREN above 35, so the strip resists chloride pitting and stress corrosion cracking that defeat 304 or 316. Yield strength runs near double the austenitic figure. These strips are used in chemical processing units and desalination plants.
We slit every 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel strip on our own lines. Material arrives from reputed primary mills in hot rolled or cold rolled route, leaves annealed to ASTM A240, and width from 3 mm to 2000 mm, with the edge and finish to your process needs.
