Stainless Steel 904L sheets and plates are flat-rolled stock of a super austenitic grade alloyed with 23 to 28% nickel, 19 to 23% chromium, 4 to 5% molybdenum, and 1 to 2% copper. The copper addition keeps the passive film stable in dilute sulphuric acid, an environment that attacks standard austenitic grades such as 316L, and a pitting resistance number near 35 covers chloride-bearing streams. Designers specify UNS N08904 plate for vessel shells, tank walls, and tube sheets in acid duty.
We buy this grade from reputed primary mills and hold it in ready stock. Sheets handle cold rolled to 6 mm and plates hot rolled to 10 mm. Every consignment ships solution annealed, with EN 10204 Type 3.1 / 3.2 mill test certificates on request.
