Nickel sheets and plates are flat-rolled forms of commercially pure wrought nickel, a metal holding 99.0% minimum nickel content. Caustic alkalis barely mark the surface, which is why chlor-alkali plants have specified the material for decades. The metal also conducts heat and electricity well, resists reducing acids, and keeps process streams free of iron pickup. Density sits at 8.89 g/cm³, with a melting range of 1435 to 1446 °C. Gauge splits the two forms: cold rolling produces sheet in lighter thicknesses for linings and fabricated panels, while hot rolling and annealing produce plate for evaporator shells, tank walls, and structural work.
As reliable nickel sheet metal suppliers, our Mumbai and Taloja warehouses hold both nickel grades as ready stock in annealed mill condition. Cold rolled sheets run from 3.8 mm to 6 mm. Hot rolled plates start at 6 mm and above, with heavier gauges arranged against order. Standard widths are 1000 mm, 1219 mm, 1500 mm, and 2000 mm, and every consignment arrives with mill documentation before slitting or dispatch. Our in-house lines cut sheet to your working width at ±0.1 mm, so a buyer can draw full-width material and slit widths from the same stock. Export consignments leave Mumbai port in wooden cases or on pallets.

Hot sodium hydroxide stress-cracks stainless steel; commercially pure nickel serves across the full concentration range. Evaporators operating hotter are welded from Nickel 201 plate instead, because the low-carbon chemistry holds its ductility through years of hot alkaline duty.
Food and pharmaceutical fabricators line mixing vessels and build product-contact panels from Nickel 200 sheet. The metal doesn't shed ions into the batch, and hot alkaline clean-in-place cycles pass without etching the surface. Hygienic weld seams also polish cleanly on bright annealed sheet, and Nickel 201 steps in where hot processing cycles run harder.
Plating shops cut anode plates and cell tank linings from Nickel 200 sheet, since 99.0% minimum purity keeps deposited coatings free of foreign metal. Electronics makers lean on Nickel 201 sheet for battery components and electrode blanks. Low carbon pairs with high electrical conductivity there, and the grade tolerates the heat of joining operations.
