Stainless Steel 430 strips are narrow, precision-slit ferritic chromium strip supplied in coil form which is designated as UNS S43000. Chromium content ranges from 16.0% to 18.0%, with nickel held to a residual 0.75% maximum, so the alloy costs less than austenitic grades and remains less affected by fluctuations in nickel prices. The strip is magnetic in every condition, resists oxidation in continuous service up to 815 °C, and forms cleanly on standard tooling. Heat treatment can't harden it. SS 430 strips offer cost-effective formability and corrosion resistance for automotive, appliance, architectural, and various industrial applications.
Every strip we sell is processed on our own Mumbai lines into high-precision SS 430 Slitting Coil forms rather than traded at mill width. Type 430 anchors the ferritic end of our stainless steel strips range. Buyers choose any width between 3 mm and 2000 mm, in annealed (soft) condition, with BA, 2B, Scotch-Brite, Matte, or HR pickled surfaces. Documented traceability follows each coil from source stock to dispatch.
