Duplex Steel 2205 coils are flat-rolled stainless steel with a two-phase structure of roughly equal austenite and ferrite. The 22% chromium, 3% molybdenum, and nitrogen chemistry gives a PREN of approximately 35, so the grade resists chloride pitting and stress corrosion cracking far better than 304 or 316. Yield strength runs more than double that of standard austenitic grades, which is why it is commonly selected for applications where high strength meets an aggressive chloride environment.
We stock duplex steel coils in the solution annealed condition to ASTM A240, sourced directly from reputed primary mills. Any width from 3 mm to 2000 mm can be slit to your requirement, in No.1, 2B, or BA finish. A documented quality system governs every stage.
