Hastelloy C22 shims are thin, precision-slit spacers cut from a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy. Chromium at 20.0 to 22.5% protects the surface in oxidising media, while molybdenum at 12.5 to 14.5% and tungsten at 2.5 to 3.5% stop pitting and crevice corrosion in reducing acids and chlorides. Carbon is capped at 0.015% max, so welded assemblies keep their resistance without further heat treatment. These Hastelloy Shims are used in the desulphurisation process and power generation.
Fitters use them to set flange gaps, align machine bases, and adjust seal clearances in corrosive plants. As a reputed Hastelloy C22 Shims supplier and manufacturer, we slit every piece in-house from the source coil, so odd widths cost nothing extra.
