What are Inconel 602 Foils?

Inconel 602 foils are ultra-thin flat products of a nickel-chromium-iron alloy carrying 24.0 to 26.0% chromium, 1.8 to 2.4% aluminium, and a deliberately high 0.15 to 0.25% carbon. Aluminium and chromium together grow an alumina-rich scale on the surface, while small yttrium and zirconium additions keep that scale anchored during thermal cycling. This combination provides oxidation and carburisation resistance in service up to 1200 °C. Inconel 602 foils are typically used in industrial furnace components, petrochemical reformers, chemical reactors, and automotive exhaust systems.
