Alloy 2205 shims to ASTM A240 carry a 655 MPa minimum tensile strength paired with a 450 MPa minimum yield. Yield and elongation minimums apply from 0.50 mm up; values for thinner shim gauges stay indicative. Material ships annealed only, with no temper ladder, and we don't recommend continuous duty above 300 °C, where alpha-prime embrittlement begins.
