About Stainless Steel Coils

Stainless steel coils are continuous lengths of flat-rolled steel wound after hot or cold rolling. Fabricators uncoil and blank them on presses and roll formers. Chromium above 10.5% builds a self-repairing oxide layer, so finished parts resist rust without any coating. Coil feed also cuts material waste against the cut sheet, because every blank nests along one continuous rolled length.

Our stock covers austenitic, ferritic, and martensitic coil grades - 15 grades in total. Hot-rolled coils run from about 2 mm to 5 mm. Cold-rolled coils run from 0.03 mm upward (precision strip thinner on request). The warehouse holds around 1000 tonnes of ready stock on hand, and every full-width coil arrives with mill documentation before slitting or dispatch. Buyers can order full source coils or slit widths from the same stock.

Grades We Supply

We maintain a ready stock of 15 coil stainless steel grades. Each grade has its own qualities and benefits.

A

Austenitic Stainless Steel Coil

10 grades

Austenitic grades form the bulk of our coil inventory and cover general fabrication, chemical, and elevated-temperature duties.

Stainless Steel 301 Coils

Stainless Steel 301 Coils work-harden quickly during forming, which suits springs and clips needing extra strength.

Stainless Steel 304 Coils

Stainless Steel 304 Coils are very common and popular. Corrosion resistance comes balanced with formability and price.

View grade

Stainless Steel 304L Coils

This low-carbon variant welds without carbide precipitation, so fabricators choose it for welded tanks and vessels.

View grade

Stainless Steel 309 Coils

Heat sets this grade apart. Stainless Steel 309 Coils resist scaling in furnace equipment.

View grade

Stainless Steel 310S Coils

Furnace linings and radiant tubes rely on Stainless Steel 310S Coils for sustained high-temperature service.

Stainless Steel 316L Coils

Molybdenum lifts chloride resistance in Stainless Steel 316L Coils. Low carbon keeps welds free of sensitisation.

View grade

Stainless Steel 317L Coils

Higher molybdenum pushes Stainless Steel 317L Coils into harsher chemical and scrubber duties.

View grade

Stainless Steel 321 Coils

Titanium stabilisation allows Stainless Steel 321 Coils to resist intergranular corrosion after welding or long heat exposure.

View grade

Stainless Steel 347 Coils

Niobium performs the same stabilising role in Stainless Steel 347 Coils. Power and refinery plants weld them for service at a temperature.

View grade

Stainless Steel 904L Coils

Copper additions alongside high nickel and molybdenum content carry Stainless Steel 904L Coils through severe sulphuric acid service.

M

Martensitic Stainless Steel

1 grade

Martensitic grades transform under heat treatment, trading some corrosion resistance for hardness and wear performance.

Surface Finishes

We offer surface finishes across hot rolled and cold rolled coils; the rolling route decides which applies.

Stainless Steel Coils BA (Bright Annealed) finishBA

BA (Bright Annealed)

Bright annealing preserves a mirror-like surface, preferred for appliances and decorative panels.

Stainless Steel Coils 2B finish2B

2B

Cold rolling with annealing and pickling produces the smooth, slightly reflective 2B surface. Most CR SS coils ship this way.

Stainless Steel Coils No.4 brushed finishNo. 4

No.4 brushed

This brushed texture doesn't show fingerprints or scratches, so kitchen equipment makers specify it widely.

Stainless Steel Coils Matte finishMatte

Matte

Matte finish keeps glare down. Appliance makers use it where low gloss matters.

Stainless Steel Coil Applications and Industries

The majority of stainless steel coils dispatched from our warehouses serve 3 primary industrial sectors. Grade choice follows the corrosion environment and forming route.

Stainless Steel Coils used in Automotive and Transport

Automotive and Transport

Most vehicle exhaust systems begin as a stainless steel slit coil, along with heat shields and trim sections. Ferritic grades handle repeated heat cycling at reasonable cost, while trim and brightwork use Stainless Steel 430 Coils.

Stainless Steel Coils used in Food Processing and Kitchen Equipment

Food Processing and Kitchen Equipment

Dairies and commercial kitchens build tanks, counters, and conveyors from Stainless Steel 304 Coils. The grade cleans easily and tolerates daily washdown chemistry. Where brines and stronger cleaners contact the surface, buyers step up to Stainless Steel 316L Coils. A 2B or No.4 brushed finish suits food-contact surfaces.

Stainless Steel Coils used in Chemical and Petrochemical

Chemical and Petrochemical

Process plants specify coil for reactor cladding and scrubber internals. Molybdenum-bearing grades earn their place here: Stainless Steel 316L Coils resist chloride-bearing streams, and Stainless Steel 317L Coils take harsher scrubber duty. We hold both grades in ready stock for quick replacement during plant shutdowns.

Certifications of Stainless Steel Coils

Quality documentation backs every dispatch. Riddhi Siddhi Impex maintains three ISO certifications alongside mill-level traceability.

3.1EN 10204

Mill Test Certificate

Every coil carries an EN 10204 Type 3.1 mill test certificate traceable to the mill heat. Type 3.2 available on request.

9001ISO

ISO 9001

Our ISO 9001:2015 certification confirms a consistent quality management system across our supply operations.

14001ISO

ISO 14001

ISO 14001:2015 covers our environmental management. It governs everything from storage through material movement.

45001ISO

ISO 45001

Workplace safety runs under ISO 45001:2018, covering occupational health across our warehouse and slitting operations.
