Stainless Steel 904L Coils are flat-rolled strip wound for slitting and downstream fabrication, made from a super austenitic grade carrying 23 to 28% nickel, 19 to 23% chromium, 4 to 5% molybdenum, and 1 to 2% copper. That chemistry was worked out for dilute sulphuric acid duty, and it pushes the pitting resistance number close to 35. Fabricators press, form, and weld the coil into equipment that faces acids and chlorides too harsh for 316L.
As one of the most reliable 904L Stainless Steel Coil suppliers, we buy these coils from reputed primary mills rather than rolling them ourselves, then slit any width from 3 mm to 2000 mm on our own lines. Material leaves annealed to ASTM A240 across four surface finishes, and a mill test certificate accompanies dispatch on request.
