Nickel 201 sheets and plates are flat-rolled products made from commercially pure, low-carbon wrought nickel, with a minimum nickel content of 99.0% and carbon limited to 0.02% maximum. That reduced carbon prevents intergranular carbon precipitation that would embrittle the metal, so buyers prefer Nickel 201 over Nickel 200 for service above 315 °C. The alloy resists caustic soda, alkalis, and reducing acids, and conducts heat and electricity well. It is widely used in food processing, electronics, and more.
We stock this grade as cold-rolled sheets from 0.8 mm and hot-rolled plates in heavier gauges, 3 mm to 2000 mm wide. Material ships annealed to ASTM B162, in 2B or BA finishes, each backed by a mill test certificate. It forms part of our wider Nickel Sheets & Plates inventory, and custom slitting trims sheets to your required width.
