What are Stainless Steel 347 Strips?

Stainless Steel 347 strips are narrow, flat-rolled austenitic products stabilised with niobium at a minimum of ten times the carbon content. That addition ties carbon into stable carbides, so weld zones resist intergranular attack through the 427 to 816 °C sensitisation band. General corrosion resistance is close to Type 304, while creep strength runs well above it. Fabricators choose the grade for thin-welded parts that run hot. These stainless steel strips are used in aerospace components, food processing equipment, and more.
