Nickel Foils
Manufacturer and Supplier in India

We are Riddhi Siddhi Impex, an ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001-certified nickel foils manufacturer and supplier working from Mumbai since 2002. Our slitting lines take commercially pure nickel down to 0.03 mm against ASTM B162 / ASME SB-162. Both grades, 200 and 201, ship from ready stock. A monthly supply capacity of 400 to 500 tonnes and dispatch within 4 to 5 days keeps battery lines and chemical plant maintenance on schedule.

About Nickel Foils

Nickel foils are thin-gauge flat products rolled from commercially pure nickel, holding 99.0% minimum nickel plus cobalt. Purity carries the value at this gauge. With almost no alloying in the matrix, electrical and thermal conductivity stay high, and the surface spot-welds cleanly to steel, which is why cell makers build battery tabs and current collectors from it. Sodium hydroxide leaves pure nickel untouched at concentrations and temperatures that stress-crack stainless steel. Foil gauge then adds EMI shielding, transducer laminations, and gasket facings to the duty list, parts where a heavier strip simply won't fit. Density is at 8.89 g/cm³, and the metal melts between 1435 and 1446 °C.

Our Mumbai and Taloja warehouses hold annealed soft source coil in both grades, slit in-house from 0.03 mm to 0.08 mm. Edges finish slit, deburred, or rounded as the order specifies. Every coil enters stock with mill documentation traceable to its heat. One note on figures: ASTM B162 tabulates mechanical minimums for standard sheet and strip gauges, so on the thinnest foil, we report strength values as indicative rather than guaranteed to the standard.

Grades We Supply

We manufacture nickel foils in 2 commercially pure grades, Nickel 200 (UNS N02200) and Nickel 201 (UNS N02201), both held in ready stock in the annealed condition. Carbon content separates them, and it decides which grade belongs above 315 °C.

Industries We Serve for Nickel Foils

3 industrial sectors use most of the nickel foil that leaves from our lines. Service temperature and the process media decide the split between Nickel 200 and Nickel 201.

Nickel Foils used in Battery Manufacturing and Electronics

Battery Manufacturing and Electronics

Cell assemblers spot-weld Nickel 200 foil into battery tabs, terminal connectors, and current collectors, and we slit tab stock down to 3 mm wide for automated welding lines. Shielding cans and magnetostrictive transducer laminations draw on the same coil. Where cell assembly involves high-temperature bake-out or brazing steps, buyers order Nickel 201 foil instead.

Nickel Foils used in Chemical and Caustic Alkali Processing

Chemical and Caustic Alkali Processing

Caustic soda plants wrap gasket facings, seal windings, and diaphragm protection in commercially pure nickel foil. Nickel 200 handles concentrated sodium hydroxide in service below 315 °C. Evaporator internals running hotter switch to Nickel 201, whose low carbon keeps the metal ductile through years of continuous exposure.

Nickel Foils used in Heating Elements and Aerospace

Heating Elements and Aerospace

Resistance heating foils belong to Nickel 201; the grade holds its ductility through repeated thermal cycles above 315 °C. Aerospace and instrumentation shops take both grades for sensing elements, sealing foils, and calibration parts, with full traceability travelling alongside each slit coil.

Certifications of Nickel Foils

Paperwork follows every nickel foil consignment from mill heat to dispatch. Riddhi Siddhi Impex holds three ISO certifications alongside heat-level traceability.

3.1EN 10204

Mill Test Certificate

Each order ships with an EN 10204 Type 3.1 mill test certificate traced to the original heat. Type 3.2 certification with third-party witness is arranged on request.

9001ISO

ISO 9001

Our ISO 9001:2015 certification covers the quality management system across slitting, inspection, and dispatch. Gauge and width checks are logged against every order.

14001ISO

ISO 14001

Environmental management runs under ISO 14001:2015, from coil storage through processing and scrap handling.

45001ISO

ISO 45001

Occupational health and safety across our warehouse and foil lines is governed by ISO 45001:2018.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the HS Code for Nickel Foils?

Nickel foils fall under HS heading 7506, which covers nickel plates, sheets, strips, and foil. Unalloyed material such as Nickel 200 and 201 typically ships under subheading 7506.10. Confirm the final code with your customs broker.

Do you supply Nickel Foils from ready stock?

Yes, Nickel Foil is the faster-moving product and stays in ready stock throughout the year. Standard dispatch takes 4 to 5 days, and urgent orders leave within 2 to 3 days.

Can you slit Nickel Foils to custom thickness and width?

Yes. Our lines slit nickel foil from 0.03 mm to 0.08 mm thick and to any width between 3 mm and 2000 mm, holding ±0.1 mm on width.

Where can I buy Nickel Foils in India?

Riddhi Siddhi Impex has manufactured and stocked nickel foils in Mumbai since 2002, supplying buyers across India and abroad. Call or WhatsApp our team, and your quote will arrive within 24 hours.
