Titanium shims are thin, flat spacers set between mating parts to close gaps, level machinery, and fine-tune alignment during assembly. Fitters slide them under bearing housings and between flange faces, or behind machine feet, wherever a few tenths of a millimetre decide the fit. The metal earns its place through a self-repairing oxide film, a density of 4.51 g/cm³ (a little over half that of stainless steel), and immunity to seawater corrosion at ambient temperature. It is also non-magnetic and biocompatible. Low thermal conductivity rounds out the property set, limiting heat transfer across shimmed joints. Buyers describe the same product as titanium spacing shims, packing shims, or alignment shims, depending on the application.
Our titanium shim stock is precision-slit at our own facility. Thickness runs from 0.03 mm to 5 mm. Custom widths between 3 mm and 2000 mm are held to ±0.1 mm, and every batch carries mill documentation traceable to the source heat. Edge conditioning is available where deburred or round edges are specified. Most orders leave from ready stock at our Taloja and Mumbai warehouses, with technical data sheets supplied on request.
