What are Nickel 201 Strips?

Nickel 201 strips are narrow cold-rolled lengths of low-carbon commercially pure nickel, slit from master coil for presswork, winding, and forming. Carbon is at 0.02% maximum, against 0.15% in Nickel 200, so UNS N02201 keeps its ductility above 315 °C, where the standard-carbon grade graphitises and cracks. The alloy holds 99.0% minimum nickel, withstands sodium hydroxide at any concentration, and moves heat and current more freely than most engineering alloys. These Nickel Strips are used in heat exchangers and chemical processing units.
