Nickel strips are narrow, flat-rolled lengths of commercially pure nickel, slit from a wider source coil and rewound for continuous press feeding. The metal carries 99.0% minimum nickel plus cobalt. Current and heat pass through it more freely than through most engineering alloys, and caustic alkalis such as sodium hydroxide leave the surface untouched at every concentration. Annealed pure nickel strips also form generously: deep draws, tight bends, and spot welds all take without cracking, which is why battery assemblers treat the material as their default tab stock. The metal stays ferromagnetic at room temperature as well, a property transducer and sensor makers put to work.
Our Mumbai and Taloja warehouses hold nickel metal strips from 0.03 mm to 5 mm thick, hot rolled at the heavier gauges and cold rolled below. Slitting runs in-house to any width between 3 mm and 2000 mm. Coils wind on inner diameters of 150 mm to 610 mm with outer diameters up to 1800 mm, and buyers choose slit, mill, deburred, or round edges, conditioned on the same lines. Mill documentation follows every source coil through to the finished slit width, and technical data sheets are available on request.
