Stainless Steel 441 strip is a ferritic grade built on 17.5 to 19.5% chromium and stabilised twice over with titanium and niobium. That pairing stops chromium carbides from forming at grain boundaries during welding and holds strength as exhaust gas cycles toward 950 °C. The steel is ferromagnetic, has a density of 7.7 g/cm³, and won't harden by heat treatment. Mills developed it for automotive exhaust hot ends and heat-exchange duty.
As a stainless steel 441 strip supplier, we slit every coil in-house rather than reselling mill widths. Strip leaves annealed to ASTM A240 in gauges from 0.03 mm to 5 mm, with five surface finishes and four edge conditions. Test records stay with each batch from the source coil to final dispatch.
