Stainless Steel 441 foil is a thin-gauge ferritic stainless steel holding around 18% chromium, stabilised twice over with titanium and niobium. Both additions bind carbon and nitrogen, so welded joints keep their corrosion resistance with no post-weld anneal. Mills developed the grade for automotive exhaust hot ends, where it resists scaling to roughly 950 °C in cyclic service. The metal is ferromagnetic, doesn't respond to hardening heat treatment, and has a density of 7.7 g/cm³.
Every metre of stainless steel foil we sell as a stainless steel 441 foil supplier and manufacturer gets dispatched from our own slitting lines. Supply condition is annealed soft only, since 441 carries no hardness temper ladder. Buyers pick any width from 3 mm to 2000 mm, with BA, 2B, matte PVC, and matte surfaces.
