Monel 400 foils are thin, cold-rolled sections of a nickel-copper alloy holding at least 63.0% nickel and 28.0 to 34.0% copper. This solid-solution grade is not hardenable by heat treatment, so it strengthens through cold work. The high nickel and copper content prevents attacks from hydrofluoric acid, seawater and reducing conditions that corrode stainless steel. UNS N04400 also keeps its ductility to subzero temperatures, which suits precision shims and formed parts. These Monel Foils are used in oil and gas, marine applications, and more.
We process every Alloy 400 foil in-house on our own slitting lines. Material leaves in soft annealed condition to ASTM B127, slit to any width between 3 mm and 2000 mm. Buyers can specify BA, 2B, or Matte surfaces with slit, deburred, or round edges. A mill test certificate ships with every order.
