What are Super Duplex Steel S32750 Strips?

Super Duplex Stainless Steel 2507 strips are narrow flat-rolled lengths of 25% chromium duplex steel, slit from coil for stamping, forming, and fabrication in severe chloride service. The microstructure splits roughly 50/50 between austenite and ferrite. Chromium at 24.0 to 26.0%, molybdenum at 3 to 5%, and a deliberate nitrogen addition push the PREN past 40, the super duplex threshold. Minimum yield strength reaches 550 MPa, about double that of 316L. The strips are used in chemical processing units and the oil and gas industry.
